Please join us for a special Centenary Buranda Fest.

As well as our usual fantastic rides and stalls, this year come to stir up memories with our historical classroom, take a walk through the Memory Lane marquee, or reminisce on one of our school tours.

Satisfy your sweet tooth at our Parisian cake stall, indulge in old-fashioned delights at our Sweets stall, or take home some jam or a beautiful pot plant at the Plants & Preserves stall. For the children there will be fun crafts (slime, anyone?), a petting zoo, sideshow alley and of course lots of rides. Keep your body fuelled with food from our BBQ or Vietnamese Delights stall, and get your caffeine fix at our coffee cart.

This year the fete will be going as green as possible, with prizes for families who bring their own coffee cups, water bottles and bags. We'll have reusable water bottles for sale, and a chilled water drinking station. You'll even be able to take home your own carry bag made from recycled Buranda uniforms!

The Centenary Project — celebrating 100 years of Buranda State School

The P&C has received many requests from parents to undertake a project to commemorate the school’s centenary. This is a great opportunity to come up with a project that helps your child, and future students, make the most of their time at school.

The P&C is open to all ideas, whether they be ways to enhance students’ classroom experience or projects to improve their ability to play. Projects don’t have to be something that can be achieved overnight, and infrastructure projects will need to fit around the finalisation of the school’s master plan. We’d love to hear from you:

We've had lots of input around making a welcoming entry to the school on Gladys St, incorporating a student art project and a Nature Play garden.

Email ideas to burandapandc@gmail.com.
