Mango Fundraiser

mango fundraiser logo.jpg

If you love mangoes, here’s your chance to indulge in fresh juicy mangoes straight from the farm and support the P&C's end of year fundraising drive.

The Mango Fundraiser only use Bowen Special Mangoes, which are more formally known as Kensington Pride Mangoes. They are packed in a single layer tray, with approximately 7kg of Mangoes per tray.  The number of Mangoes per tray depends on the size of the fruit, and may vary from 12 large Mangoes up to 23 small Mangoes.

These mangoes are picked and packed during the premium harvest and delivered to the school straight from the farm. They are full of flavour compared to the supermarket ones, as they are allowed to mature prior to picking.

You can order for your friends and families as well. Take an order form to your workplace, show friends, and families to gather orders.

Cost per Tray: $25

Place and pay for your order on QKR by: Friday 26th October 2018

Expected Delivery date (pick up from School):  Approximately first week of December 2018 (dependent on harvest )

Thanks to all our Community Supporters

Thanks to our local business community and elected representatives, who supported Buranda Fest by donating goods, prizes, services and cash to help offset the fete costs.

With their help the P&C has raised around $20,000 for school programs (final figures pending). We deeply appreciate their support and encourage school families to pop in and say thanks.

Major partners are offering discounts to school family and friends: take a look at their deals on our Community Offers page.

Sponsors-and-donors-small.png

We're having a Read-a-Thon!

Why? to celebrate Book Week and raise money for P&C programs. Download the forms.

To participate, children ask family and friends to sponsor them per page or to make a donation. Record  sponsors on the Sponsorship Form.

Students then read as many pages as they can between Saturday 17 August and Sunday 2 September. Record the books they read (and how many pages) on the My Completed Books Form and ask a parent or teacher to initial each book they complete.

Yes, children can record the same books for the Read-a-Thon and Premier's Reading Challenge.

After Sunday 2 September, add up the grand total of pages to calculate what sponsors owe and collect the pledges. Pay via Qkr! and return forms (and cash if needed) to the P&C box at the school office by 3pm on Friday 7 September 2018.

There will be prizes for

  • most pages read — junior and senior
  • most money raised — junior and senior
  • extra prizes for excellent effort each grade

Look at our beautiful new promotional materials!

Thanks to Officeworks Woolloongabba who generously donated a beautiful new P&C banner. The banner had its first outing at the Centenary Gala Reunion on Saturday.

Many thanks to Fi Cameron, Sybille Goss and Sally Dillon who worked so hard to put the banner together.

The fete poster was also a terrific collaboration. They are both fantastic advertisements for our P&C and the amazing work our families do to support their students’ learning.
